About us

Whin Hill Nurseries is a family business which was established in 1999 by husband and wife team Robert & Deborah Smith. Located in Driffield, East Yorkshire we grow a wide range of plants from bedding plants and container grown shrubs & trees to field grown forestry trees and hedging plants.

We are open throughout the year and welcome both public and wholesale customers both locally through direct trade and nationally with our competitive next day delivery options.

At Whin Hill we pride ourselves on our ability to produce quality specimens from seed and self-propagated stock. We have a large rotation of stock to match the changing seasons, with spring and early-autumn seeing the Nursery filled with bedding plants, and late autumn through to winter stocked with hedging plants (of both native and European varieties), fruit trees, bushes and Christmas trees. Of course this is all on top of our broad selection of alpines, perennials, herbs, climbers, flowering shrubs and evergreens that are available all year round.

Our chief aim is to provide good value for money by offering plants of high quality at a competitive price with a friendly service.
