Hedging Plants

At Whin Hill we’re proud of our wide and varied selection of hedging plants and forestry trees of which we can provide to both large wholesale customers and smaller individual jobs. Many of our hedging plants are grown from seed right here on site but we can always source other species and grades to suit our customers’ needs.

Advice can be offered on all aspects of hedging including establishing field screening and shelter belts for farmers, enrolment on stewardship schemes and the correct sundries such as canes and spirals to ensure the best after care for your hedge once planted.

For customers who require smaller quantities of hedging products we’re happy to be able to offer the same varieties and sundries as to our large clients including extras such as our popular native hedging mix ideal for smaller lengths and boundaries.

Bare rooted hedging is available from November through until March/April during which time the plant is dormant allowing for a more successful planting. We also have a wide selection of evergreen container grown hedging available all year round if you require, including leylandii and laurel.
